The larger a piece of heavy equipment is, the more expensive it will be to transport it. Not only are larger pieces more of a challenge to load and position in place, but they also require more fuel to tow. For instance, a piece of equipment that weighs several tons will require the towing vehicle to use more fuel during the transportation process than something small. 

The Equipment Necessary to Move Your Equipment 

Different pieces of equipment can require different types of transport equipment for the transport process because these massive machines can have all kinds of shapes and sizes. For instance, something like a large bulldozer may need a trailer that allows for side loading and a semi to haul the equipment.
